Wearing lipstick is very high maintenance and messy at times (teeth and drinking glass). I’ve worn many long lasting waterproof lip products and most of them leave my lips dry. One of my most memorable and bad lipstick situations was when I was filming My Kitchen Rules in Melbourne for Carly & Emily’s instant restaurant. I had just bought Revlon Colorstay Overtime in Neverending Nude. Generally during the day I need to reapply lip conditioner, after doing this the colorstay started clogging up. Naturally I started to freak out as the producers were calling us in for filming. I tried to scrap it off with my finger and tissues but this didn’t work. Lucky enough Emma (MKR scientist from WA) noticed that I was in trouble and quickly got me a wet wipes. She helped me reapply a different lipstick of her own. I thank you Emma for aiding me on my time of a beauty crisis!

On my visit to PM Studio last week, the lovely Olga and Claire mentioned that Makeup Forever had just released a new waterproof liquid lip color that was ultra long lasting and keeps your lips moisturised. The lip colour was super vivid and glided on effortlessly. This helped because with my experience with the other brands, when you reapply too much on your first go it clogs up like clay. I’m in love with the Aqua Rouge which was actually designed for Madonna. The colour lasted exceptionally well (I didn’t stain any drinking glasses) and my lips remained moisturised, however I did have to reapply in the inner lip area.
